ELIGIBILITY: Real Salt Lake Little Leo Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the United States (except Rhode Island, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, and all other U.S. and foreign territories and possessions, and excluding where otherwise prohibited by law, rule or regulation), who are of legal age of majority in the jurisdiction in which they reside (and at least 18 years) at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors (including immediate family members (spouse, parent, child and sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of they reside) and members of the same household, whether or not related) of Utah Soccer LLC d/b/a Real Salt Lake, (collectively, the “Sponsor”), the MLS Entities (defined below), the SOE Entities (defined below) and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Sweepstakes are not eligible to participate. The “MLS Entities” shall mean Major League Soccer, LLC (“MLS”) and Utah Soccer, LLC d/b/a Real Salt Lake. Online entrants to the Sweepstakes will be given the option to receive commercial e-mails from www.realsaltlake.com and/or www.mlsnet.com; however, eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes is not dependent upon entrant’s consent to receive such e-mails. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state, local laws and regulations. Void in Rhode Island, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, and all other U.S. and foreign territories and possessions, and where prohibited or restricted by law.
HOW TO ENTER: The Sweepstakes begins at 8:00:00 AM Mountain Time (“MT”) on April 27, 2009 and ends at 11:59:59 (MT) on May 4, 2008 (“Entry Period”). There are three ways to enter: online, by mail, or In-Person. No other method of entry will be accepted. Limit one (1) entry per person/email, address/household, regardless of method of entry.
1. Online Method: During the Entry Period, go to www.realsaltlake.com and click on the banners, buttons and/or links to launch the pop-up online entry form for the Sweepstakes. By submitting your completed online entry form as directed, you will be automatically entered in the Sweepstakes. All information submitted by entrants is subject to MLSnet.com’s Privacy Policy accessible at: http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/about/privacy.jsp. Entrants must complete all non-optional data requested on the online entry form. Incomplete entries are void.
2. Mail-in Method: If you do not wish to enter online or in-person, you may enter the Sweepstakes by hand-printing your name, address, city, state and zip code, day & evening telephone number (including area code), date of birth e-mail address (optional), and child’s clothing size on a standard size postcard and mail to: Attn: Sweepstakes Department, Real Salt Lake, 9256 South State Street, Sandy UT. 84070. Sponsors will use e-mail addresses provided via the Mail-in entry method for prize notification purposes only; however, eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes is not dependent upon entrant’s provision of this information. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by May 1, 2009 and received by Sponsors by May 4, 2008 to be eligible. Mail-in entries become the property of the Sponsors and will not be returned.
3. In-Person Method: During the Entry Period, you may enter the Sweepstakes in person by (i) attending any Real Salt Lake home game and visiting the Cricket booth in “Carnival Real” at Rio Tinto Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah or (ii) visiting any Rio Tinto Stadium front desk during regular business hours. By submitting a completed entry from, you will receive one (1) entry to the Sweepstakes. Entrants must complete all non-optional data requested on the entry form. Incomplete entries are void. Sponsors will use e-mail addresses provided via the In-Person entry method for prize notification purposes only; however, eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes is not dependent upon entrant’s provision of this information. In-person entries become the property of the Sponsors and will not be returned.
RANDOM DRAWING: The potential winner of the Sweepstakes (the “Winner”) will be selected by random drawing on or about May 4, 2009 from all eligible entries received by the Sponsors or SOE, as applicable. The decisions of Sponsors, including the selection of Winners, are final and binding on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Limit one Prize per person, family or household.
PRIZES: Four (4) Winners will Be Awarded. Each winner will receive two (2) tickets to the Real Salt Lake vs. Los Angeles Galaxy game in Sandy, Utah on May 6, 2009 (the “Game”). Each winner will also receive a Real Salt Lake youth jersey and the opportunity to be on the field at halftime. (Estimated Retail Value of Prize: US $100). The Winner is fully responsible for any and all applicable federal, state, and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes). All costs and expenses associated with Prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided, including but not limited to lodging, transportation costs, meals, taxes (including income taxes) and gratuities and other expenses incurred by accepting the Prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Winner’s companions must be of legal age of majority in their jurisdictions of residence, unless traveling with a parent or guardian.
The Prize is non-transferable and non-assignable, with no cash redemptions or substitutions except at Sponsors’ sole discretion. The Sponsors, the MLS Entities and the SOE Entities will not be responsible for Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation of MLS games. There will be no substitutions for the Prize except by Sponsors who reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable or greater value at its sole discretion.
NOTIFICATION: The potential Winner will be notified by e-mail and/or telephone by the Sponsors and/or SOE. In the event that the Winner does not respond to any such notification within three (3) days of date of notification, a disqualification will result and, at Sponsors’ discretion, an alternate Winner shall be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries. The potential Winner will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability and, unless prohibited by law, Publicity, within ten (10) days of date of receipt. A disqualification will result and, at Sponsors’ discretion, an alternative Winner will be randomly selected from among all remaining eligible entries if all required documents are not properly executed and returned within the specified period of time. Refusal or return of such documents as non-deliverable or potential Winner’s noncompliance with these Official Rules will also result in disqualification and, at Sponsors’ discretion, cause an alternative Winner to be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY/PUBLICITY RELEASE: By participating in the Sweepstakes and submitting an entry, all entrants agree to (i) be bound by these Official Rules, including all entry requirements and (ii) waive any and all claims against the Sponsors, the MLS Entities, the SOE Entities and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Sweepstakes, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, “Released Parties”) for any injury, damage or loss that may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation in the Sweepstakes or from the receipt or use of any Prize or any travel or activity related to the receipt or use of any Prize. By acceptance of Prize, each Winner grants to Sponsors, the MLS Entities and the SOE Entities and their respective designees the right to publicize such Winner’s name, city and state/province of residence and/or likeness in any medium now or hereafter devised worldwide without limitation and without additional compensation or consideration, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: Released Parties are not responsible for stolen, late, misdirected, lost, damaged, garbled, delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, postage due or illegible entries or mail. Entries generated by a script, macro or other mechanical or automated means will be disqualified. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries, the announcement of the Prizes or in any Sweepstakes-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or downloading materials from or use of the website.
Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Sweepstakes or website or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsors, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this Sweepstakes is unlawful and subject to legal action by the Sponsors, the MLS Entities, the SOE Entities or their respective agents. Sponsors, the MLS Entities and the SOE Entities shall have the sole right to disqualify any entrant for violation of these Official Rules or any applicable laws relating to the Sweepstakes, and to resolve all disputes in their sole discretion. Sponsors, the MLS Entities and the SOE Entities (i) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning any Prize, and (ii) disclaim any implied warranty. All disputes will be resolved under applicable U.S. laws in the County of New York, state of New York.
The Sponsors, the MLS Entities and the SOE Entities reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Sweepstakes should virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes corrupt administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper operation of the Sweepstakes. In the event of cancellation, Sponsors may elect to identify Winners and award the Prizes by way of random drawing from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received up to time of such cancellations.
All online entries must include a valid e-mail address for the entrant. In case of multiple entries, only the first entry received will be considered. In the event of a dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a Winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the “Authorized Account Holder” of the e-mail address submitted at the time of the entry provided her/she is eligible according to these Official Rules. The “Authorized Account Holder” is the person to whom the applicable Internet service provider or other organization (such as business or educational institution) has assigned the e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
The “SOE Entities” shall mean SportsOnEarth, L.L.C. (“SOE”) and MLB Advanced Media, L.P. and each of their subsidiaries and affiliated entities.
WINNERS’ LIST: For a list of Winners (available after May 6, 2009), mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Real Salt Lake, Attn: Real Salt Lake Little Leo Sweepstakes, 9256 South State Street, Sandy, UT. 84070. Winner’s list requests must be made by May 31, 2009.
